Abstract
Exhibition catalogue essay for Museum Ludwig, Cologne, exhibition on Weimar era fashion photographer Karl Schenker. My essay charts a five year period that Schenker spent in New York from 1925-1930 when he attempted to re-invent himself as a painter.
