Abstract
This co-edited volume (with Barbara Furlotti) accompanies the exhibition of the same title at the Palazzo Te in Mantua (25 September 2026–31 January 2027). It includes four essays I have authored—on giants, fossils, fish, and on the sixteenth‑century interpretation of the ancient figure of the Diana of Ephesus as Goddess Nature. The volume positions knowledge of nature in Early Modern Europe at the intersection of natural philosophy, experimental practices, art, and commerce.
