Abstract

The article explores the paradox of fashion photographer 'Yva' and her contributions to the satirical journal 'Uhu' in her formulation of photo-stories that parodied aspirational Girlkultur in 1930s Berlin, a culture that her professional fashion photography helped to formulate.
